New BMW Z4 design....

New BMW Z4 design

Comparing the outgoing BMW Z4 to the new one would make a pretty tough game of spot the difference, however there are some subtle changes to keep it looking fresh.

At the front, you get a tweaked front bumper and a slightly different design for the kidney grilles, as well as a new LED daytime running light design.

The side profile remains unchanged, with the exception of some new alloy wheel designs. These start at 18-inches but you can upgrade to 19s if you so please.

The rear end is pretty much the same as well. The lower bumper is a bit more aggressive, but beyond that you get the same muscular design as before. The new BMW Z4 is also now available in a fetching purple hue.

New BMW Z4 engines and driving

The new BMW Z4 is available with the same selection of engines as before. You can have a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 197hp, or a 3.0-litre six-cylinder with 340hp in the M40i model. Check out the video below to see how the Z4 drives…

You now get more driver assistance features as standard, including front collision warning, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning and speed limit assist, which will display the current speed limit in the instrument cluster.

New BMW Z4 interior and infotainment

The cabin of the new BMW Z4 remains unchanged from the previous model. You get two 10.25-inch screens for the digital drivers display and the infotainment, and there are plenty of shiny trim pieces around the place.

Unlike the latest BMW models, the new Z4 retains the rotary controller for the infotainment, as well as physical buttons for the climate control.

New BMW Z4 price and release date

The new BMW Z4 will go on sale before the end of 2022, with deliveries likely to be early in the new year.

The base 20i M Sport model will set you back £42,305, rising to £53,720 for the full-fat M40i version.
